This year’s Christmas Party was a big hit! We had so many stop in to eat and talk to us. We really had a lot of fun with this, so we look forward to doing this again in the future. Thank you to everyone who brought treats, we really enjoyed the day with all of you!

At the Cotton Patch we love having new visitors. I just love when people come in to share their projects and find new ones too! You can visit us at 6194 E Hobbes Rd in Woodlawn, IL. We are located 1/4 of a mile south of Interstate 64 off of exit 69 (Woodlawn), on the left hand side. We also do special appointments. New to our shop is the Morgan Lap Stand. I have just started several exciting embroidery projects, and I have a hard time holding a regular hoop. This tool is so nice to have because it sits on your lap, and your hand doesn’t tire from holding the hoop. Sure is a nice useful tool. With Red Work, and Blue Work back in, and Christmas just around the corner, this would make a great gift! We have 2 sizes, 7″/9″ or 7″10″. We have a couple classes coming up in the month of November that we are very excited about. The first class we are offering is Machine Applique’ with Linda Woodard. This class is wonderful for anyone that has been interested in learning machine applique’, and Linda is such a great teacher! This class is a two day class. The first portion is on Wednesday, November 4th from 9:30a.m. to 4:00p.m. The second portion will be on Tuesday, Novmeber 10th from 9:30a.m. to 12:00p.m. The cost for this class is $34.00, and it is worth every penny! Also, we are going to be having a class called the Shooting Star taught by myself. This project is so much fun! We are going to be offering this class on Saturday, November 21st from 9:30a.m. to 4:00p.m. The cost of this class will be $15.00. This project was so much fun, and easy too! You would never have guessed that it could be made with 2 1/2″ strips! I chose to use pinks and browns for my color theme. Pink and Brown has been in this year, and they compliment each other well. I also chose to use reproduction fabrics as well in this project. I just love reproductions, and they give this piece a dainty feel to it. It’s a gorgeouse wall-hanging piece, and it’s not too difficult. It makes a size 26″ square. Welcome to the all new Cotton Patch Quilt Shop Blog! Today is a very exciting day for me because from now on I will be able to share so much more with all of you there! Not everyone of my friends are able to come and visit on a daily basis, and a lot of them miss out on things that we do in the shop. These things can be anything from new projects we have finished that are available as samples in the shop. Also, I will be able to share with you many exciting new classes we are offereing as well as any events we are sponsoring.
